David O'Connell
The Myrtle Beach Condo Store, a division of The Myrtle Beach Home Store, has been a long-time dream for Grand Strand developer, David O'Connell. Founder of New Resorts LLC, Oceanfront Real Estate Investment Groups LLC, and several other real estate marketing companies, David has been involved in preconstruction investing for more than 8 years.

David O'Connell David entered the real estate market in 1998, with a background in patent and marketing. He developed a keen interest in the development and marketing of oceanfront condo/hotels and resorts, and quickly became the top salesman for the leading local firm that specialized in Myrtle Beach Condos at that time.

He founded his own preconstruction condo marketing company, New Resorts, in 2004. With partner Doug Clayton, the company successfully processed over 300 million in sales. David soon moved into the development and marketing of his own projects, and has become one of the most knowledgeable authorities on Myrtle Beach condos in the area He is also involved with investing in the future development of Atlantic Beach, which will dramatically change the city of North Myrtle Beach in the near future.

Having always been internet-savvy, David has based much of his sales and marketing strategies around investing in domain names and websites. The Myrtle Beach Condo Store is his interest in the internet and Myrtle Beach condominium market coming full circle.

David resides in Myrtle Beach with his wife Jessica, and 4 children.

Pennsylvania family marks special anniversary in Myrtle Beach

Lisa and Hythem Salem adopted Russian twins, Sophia and Joe, when they were 11 months old in 1999. Four years later, they found out the twins had two more brothers and two more sisters in Russia, all twins as well. During the next year, the couple made it their goal to reunite the family by adopting all of them. "I guess it's a mother's heart that kept me going and looking for the other four," said Lisa Salem, the children's mother.

With nearly $100,000 worth of adoption fees, the couple decided this year they would have to cancel their family vacation to Myrtle Beach. That is until David O'Connell heard their story on Dateline NBC.

"I guess after wiping away the tears, I wanted to do what I could, and I felt like the least thing I could do is maybe offer them a little trip to Myrtle Beach, and you know, have them bring all the kids down," said O'Connell.

Thanks to David, and several other area businesses, the Salem family is on vacation this week at a resort, with trips to Myrtle Waves, The Dixie Stampede, and Ripley's Aquarium, among other places.
